Crossing the EQUATOR for the first time and meeting with Neptune!!!-delayed

Not suspecting anything unusual while Cpt Bobby/Neptune
was preparing for sea christening...of his Admiral/crew

And there all of the sudden the moment was right and Neptune
appeared.Hmm slightly strange looking and his heart was in the right place

Reading o degrees oo THE EQUATOR CROSSING
was the moment to christen the crew as the legend has it

Most first timers get thrown out in the deep blue sea I got a treatment with a can of coconut milk. Maybe I was needed on board or maybe no one could pull me back into the boat...either way it was very special.Thank you Neptune!!!!!

The EQUATOR

Bobby back to the more normal

Fishing houses in the middle of nowhere.

Neptune at his most furious.

BORNEO - Part Two delayed due to network coverage

After the 300+ NM we have travelled in extreme conditions
air - 47 degrees Celcius and water trmperature of 31 degrees
we arrived extremly tired expecting a lushes jungle...
and this is what we saw (I almost cried)
 Kumai Ancorage02 44 South and 110 25 East 1st October to 4th of October

The very few places in the world that one could find
 white coca-cola and fanta...
warm...very warm

And more of very fast flowing Kumai River...not the jungle we expected.

Looking for a boat that would take us to the jungle...
at first sight a bit of a dissappoitment.Almost everything was
NOT what we expected

And that was the toilet and the bathroom with shower...
oh shower water came from the river.Have a closer look.

The back entrance to Mr Bean's home/restaurant
with a mechanic working on a boat part.

Hmmm....not exactly lush jungle

Borneo Experience - DEDICATED TO MY CHILDREN and Christophe - Part One

...looking out for dolphins or the other way around...
"EXPERIENCE IS NOT WHAT   HAPPENS TO A MAN;IT IS WHAT A MAN DOES WITH WHAT HAPPENS TO HIM"-Aldous Huxley
This experience I would like to share with you as it thought me many lessons. It was somehow special...Was it different? Maybe not and definetly special. From the moment that we left the now "our" spot in the world the feeling was beautiful. Seeing the other boats that were still anchored and sleepy we made our way trough the reef and a maze of little funny looking fishing boats full of tourists on their early morning rounds looking out for dolphins or the other way around. I felt sad to live it all behind. We made friends...had little favoutite spots. It was our place now and I didn't really want to go.
FISHING IN THE SHIMMER OF THE MORNING.....
the views were spectacular that day
