The more we visit this town the more we fall in love with it. Relaxed,not sophisticated (in the nicest way ) small place on Earth with fabulous white sand beach to have pleasure and enjoy.
Lots of little shops,eateries,cutest "french hotels",friendly faces everywhere

I had an amazing day just playing while Robert acomplished all his plans on the boat.
Port Douglas 16 degrees 29"145 degrees27" is situated adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest.Was established in 1877.
Christopher Skase made it more famous with the construction of the world-class Sheraton Mirage here.Bill and Hilary Clinton chose the town as their only vacation stop on their visit to Australia and than again on a return visit on 11 September 2001, the then ex-President was again dining at the Salsa Bar and Grill when he was advised of the 9/11 attacks.

In 2006 "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin died at Batt Reef, off Port Douglas.
In 2012, Port Douglas will be the pole position for a Total Solar Eclipse so you will hear about it. This phenonemon will take place at 6:38 am on November 14th 2012. Only a small sliver(and that will be Camp David!) of land will witness the event and Port Douglas is right in its path.
