Lower Isles

Low Isles (Islets) 16 degrees 23.2 south 145 degrees 33.6 east are 2 small coral cays located 13 kilometres from Port Douglas. They were our next stop.Amazing little islands with quite beautiful coral. We spend the evening with new friends from a great boat next to us Melita. After a quick sleep we left early in the morning for an 8 hour most perfect sail to Hope Island 15 degrees 43.8 south 145 degrees 27.6 east
where we had a little pincic with people from other boats who are also heading to Darwin.
Today was the day we actually cought our first fish, and had a red sky again in the morning
which was a good warning of strong winds which only grew stronger as we arrived in Cooktown 15 degrees 31.9 south and 145 degrees 16 east. We will be spending 2 days here. We are off to see the town as soos as we can.
All is well and we hope that with you also. Ciao for now.
